Little while since I posted on here, not that I was a serial poster but just been enjoying my subaru wrx sti. That was until last week on way home from work a loud knocking noise started form engine area.got home in one piece but noise was pretty loud, cut a long story short sent it to a mate on back of a truck hes had a look at it basically looks like bottom end has gone or is going and he didnt want to strip it down to much. So my question is what are my options if it Is bottom end as I have limited money at moment ? Realy apreicate some help from you guys as im not sure what to do. Thanks in advance mike.
unless you are doing the work yourself the cheapest option is a second hand engine, just swap as little as you can over. Or I guess if funds were really tight you could use a WRX short engine; better that nothing - mine is still going strong at over 140k mls and 360+
