Default So, I want a black WRX

Time to upgrade from my 1.2 Fiesta.

Got my heart set on a black blob eye wrx pref with STI bodykit already on.
Just wondering how hard it is to find them because there doesnt seem to be many going on gumtree & autotrader.

Anyone got any other recommendations for places to look too?

there aren't many around, but definitely worth waiting to find a good one

on the blob, there are 2 different colours of black, the early ones are mica black (08V) black with gold fleck, and 05 reg onwards was obsidian black (32J) black with green and blue fleck

the first link that ste posted is where I got mine from, http://www.jctcars.co.uk/used-cars/s...ts?make=SUBARU

I've got an 05 black blob

Yea I'm keeping a look out
For the right one. Didn't realise there are two difference types of
Black, has anyone got an example of the green and blue fleck?

That blob on that site looks quite good, bit wary about the mileage though

Do they come up with leather seats often? Would def prefer to get one with leather seats and the sti kit already on.

Seems that the black blobs have a 1-2k premium over the blue doesn't it? I suppose white even more expensive?

Cheers for the answers

Would it not be easier to buy a black Sti?

Black is the hardest colour to keep clean
Expect lots of swirls on the one you buy
Do you enjoy washing your car every 2/3 days
If not get a silver or blue colour

Black look stunning when highly polished though
Especially with gold wheels

Check out the local,Subaru clubs and forums in your area as best to buy one of an enthusuist or be patient and keep man eye on here and check all the Subaru clubs

Worth travelling nationally to get a good one

Black cars are great to look at but a pain in the **** to keep clean.

Also, they all seem a bit over-priced. I got my silver 05 Wrx last August with 57k on the clock for £4750.

I have a black car and must agree with above. I get round it by not cleaning it too often. I go for the Mad Max look. I used to love washing cars, but since owning a black one I really cannot be arsed. Its great. Buy a black car and you get hours of your life back when you would otherwise be washing metal and plastic.

Would absolutely love too but dont have that kind of money.
Every 500 quid over 5k will set me back another month from my october target!

After looking a little further, the gap between prices for the STI seems smaller in black than in other colours, perhaps it would be worth the extra £
