Default I must be a bit naive.... Facebook Subaru buy/sell group....

Last week I joined a Facebook group called 'Sell Your Subaru & Parts UK'.... It's got almost 5,000 members so I assume it's one of the main groups. Since I joined I have never seen so much junk, non-turbo's and bad examples of cars appearing on my Facebook feed. I know Subaru's have a bit of a reputation with some people regarding them as chavvy, but I never knew it was this bad!!

I guess that because I only visit enthusiast forums, the majority of the bad examples are filtered out and don't appear on the forums (properly because the plebs who own them don't know what a forum is) and I only see the good/well cared for motors. I have not seen a single nice car for sale that I would be remotely interested in, they're all just awful!

Anyway, it's opened my eyes a little that's for sure.

In 24 hours this beautiful line-up of cars are up for sale:

Non-turbo

GX Sport

Bad knocking engine

Ive bought quite a few bits from there with no hassle, fair prices too. I think its safer than ebay, if you sell crap someones liable to get your particulars, come to your home and smash your windows/car/knee caps.
Beacause theyre not "enthusiasts" tend not to get over inflated prices and head up **** syndrome.

Yeah some bits have cropped up, but I doubt I'd even trust the parts unless it was something like a headlamp or a wing mirror, etc. Their cars though, that's a different matter entirely!

This thread is making me lose faith in Subaru, I though all this crap had been filtered out and Subaru was for proper enthusiasts.

Why? It's not Subaru that do this to the cars, it's the owners who think it looks good.

The group is called: Sell Your Subaru & Parts UK

I think you need to join/like it. It's unbelievable the crap that's being sold! If you click on the peoples profiles who are selling cars like this, they don't look intelligent either .

The important thing is we know who the real enthusiasts are. Let's hope the facebook users don't cotton onto Scoobynet.

It's the same as the subaru swap shop. It's not too bad I use it to buy and sell cheap parts. It's ok but some ppl are just clueless and full on dreamers. What annoys me is when a car comes up for sale and they say its got fmic upgrade turbo upgrated ecu not mapped and im jsut like
