...come on guys. All you bitching at each other is as entertaining as watching Big Brother.

"It's like this. If somebody doesn't want to race then thats up too them. If they do want to race then OK - Race". The guy in the Aston probably didn't want it damaged with an Impreza driving in the side of it or something". Somebody in a considerably lesser car than mine tried to race me - I didn't want to know. I would have stuffed him but why bother?? 1)Speed cameras 2)Petrol, brakes, tyres etc. We should all respect the opinions of others and learn to get along (Mother Theresa has spoken).

Seriously though. The guy in the Aston probably thought that you were driving like a tw&t too close too him. I'm not saying he's right to call you a ******, far from it - he obviously just cared a little too much too risk damaging his car in a race that he will obviously win. DEANF - keep trying though, one day an Aston will race and show his motor to you afterwards. Over and out.

Maybe he was trying to preserve a beautiful, new and ultimate supercar. Did it cross your mind that he was probably paying you no attention whatsoever, as he was just enjoying his new car and not competing in a road race?

While I can understand why you were impressed with the performance of your scoob. I always start thinking that this bloke must look at you in the same way that most people (including me) look at young lads in Nova's. We see many post on here where we ridicule the Nova boys for trying it on with impreza's etc...

If there is a Aston Martin board somewhere I can't help thinking they are laughing at us poor people who drive mass produced japanese cars and feel the need to have a go against a super car.

Enjoy your scoob mate I know I enjoy mine

The guy was probably still running it in, and still wasted you, until he got to a speed he was comfortable at.

Ever wonder if he felt threatened?

How many times have you been follwed "enthusiastically" by other drivers (alone or with others in their vehicle), and wondered if they are following so closely for the purpose of depriving you of your car and possibly your life?

Just a thought...

I'm surprised he wound his window down actually - He obviously didn't make his money through his intellect!

As per usual veryone assumes im trying to make out my car is equal to an Aston Martin Get real! Id give my kidney away for one of those. His mind was obviously on trying to impress as he went through 2 speed cameras & set them off, THe car is already impressive enough in exhaust note never mind looks. No he wasn't very intelligent just born with a silver spoon in his gob i guess & as for 255 bhp per tonne, Last power run before taking my boost from 13Psi to 16 was 272 @ powerstation on the 18th. I was competing because i like using my car, it gives me pleasure, He was doing it i thought for the same reason, I was hoping we could stop & have a chat & drool over his car but to give a wanke* gesture for having fun isn't on. So if you lot are not as pleased as i am with your scoobs sell them & buy a Nova!!

Dean, how do you know he hasnt worked hard for his money ?? How do you know he had a "silver spoon in his gob" ??

As said above he might have thought you were a car jacker of some sorts cause lets face it, an Impreza Turbo is pretty much the choice of car jackers as they have stolen so many of them themselves.

****.

Oh, and a Vanquish is £160,000 not 80k....

No way on earth you'd have kept up if he'd really wanted to lose you. I was behind one last night and they sound unbelievable..

My mate had a play with a Vanquish yesterday.
In his words..."I thought I was equal to him until he got bored of playing then....whooosh...he was gone"
He has never seen anything move so quickly.

he drives a 160bhp lotus elise so he aint slow.

Scooby drivers already have a bad name & so do many other drivers of sporty performance cars. I drive mine hard around country roads away from built up areas. Im fortunate there are hundreds of miles of them round here. So hopefully i won't tarnish the name. Shoot me if you must for being a car enthusiast. Shall we leave it at that.

Thumbs down

I think the problem is that most of the scoob owners (who have replied to this thread) are aged 40+ if not older & an enthusiastic drive to you lot is driving at 25 mph to the local nursing home for a night out, swerving to miss fast moving hedgehogs on the way (there classed as TWISTIES!!!) before returning home at 7:30 to get your pipe & slippers out & fall into a deep sleep for a year or 2!!

Just because someone enjoys driving there car & using its potential, you all moan like a jealous bunch of t0ssers, its not Deanf's fault you havent got the mental capacity to cope with going faster than 30 mph apart from when your late for the National pipe & slipper AGM.

Who knows, the aston driver may have actually been giving it some, you werent there, Dean was!

At the end of the day, i think you all need to sell your scoobs & treat yourself to a year or two more in the nursing home, you could always buy a robin reliant for the weekend when they let you out.

This place is beginning to sound more & more like the honda-r board every week.

I prepare to be banished from scoobynet forever!!!!!!!!!

So I assume we're meant to not drive enthusiastically anywhere near or attempt to keep up with cars more expensive than Scoobs?

FFS - sounds to me like DeanF was just having some fun - and you guys slag him for it.

So when I used to dust Porsche 911 turbo's on my Gixer(only worth £3k) was that wrong as well cos his car was sooooo much more expensive than my bike?

Get a grip and live life. Just know where to draw the line, that's all.

DP.
