Two types of SL?
I've been looking for a blob eye WRX for a few weeks now, and keep coming across cars advertised as SL (which would be my preferred spec) that don't have a leather interior.
They do all have a different seat shape though, more contoured than the normal WRX cloth seat. I seem to recall having one with this seat type in the past but can't remember on which model. Here's an example of a car with the front seat type I mean, see http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201405074015781/sort/locasc/usedcars/make/subaru/radius/1500/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/postcode/cf717jb/model/impreza/page/1/keywords/Sl/price-from/2000?logcode=p
If they are not SL spec but don't have the normal seat type, what are they?

SL I presume means Sports Lux which as far as I am aware (I've got an '05 one) means it has leather heated seats and sunroof. That one in the link is not an SL, but does seem to have different seats and trim (quite nice though)...which is strange! It is a very late blob being an 06 but not aware of any trim updates to 05+ blobs. Could it be spec-c trim?

Certainly 05 blobs had the facelift dash, but not the two tone hawk seats.
I think I recall now, there was an option on bugs and blobs to have airbag seats, or non airbag buckets, which are the contoured seats shown on my link. Nothing to do with SL. Still not sure why so many get listed as SL on Autotrader when they are clearly not though...

The seats in the linked car look like the ones in my old 05 blob WRX (which didn't have the face lifted dash, I think it was a crossover year car so they probably just bunged in whatever was to hand). As above - if it doesn't have sunroof and leather it isn't an SL, and they are advertised as such because the dealers just click a button at random when listing.

Agreed if there's no sunroof and heated leather seats than its not an SL.
Just sold my WRX SL PPP hawk. Some people probably just add SL into the title in the hope of more viewings even though it evidently is not! likewise with people passing WRX's off as STI's.
