Default Bike Rack

I guys, I've recently bought a mountain bike and hoping to take it on holiday with me, I'm just a bit worried about a Bike Rack for a Hawkeye with spoiler.... Is there a compatible bike rack out there? Or any advise from anyone who carries around there bike would be really appreciated, I'm away in a few weeks so need to act fast if I want to take it... Cheers.

If you've got a towbar then go for a Thule one that clamps onto the towball.

I'm currently piecing together a thule system. Yours should be the same fitment as the WR1 I'd imagine. So fitting kit 1210, 754 feet, 127cm bars (there's a few choices), then I think there's a few compatible bike holders. There is a fitting guide on the thule website. Can work out pricey though, so I'm grabbing parts as they pop up on the bay.

I picked up a towbar and electrics from one of the breakers on here for £65 delivered. Then I bought an Aiston bike rack to go with it which is brilliant and about half the cost of a decent Thule unit.

For me a solid towbar mounted rack was the only option I would trust. Plus it doesn't murder your fuel economy like a roof mounted system.

This web site. Roof bars and bike carriers are the best way to carry bikes and minimise the risk of damage to your car.

I have these carriers fitted to aero bars with the T-track adapters. Been excellent. http://www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbv...~cC4ure%60JRMa

Have a look at P F Jones in Manchester - i got a Thule roofbar system for my hatch from them and they were the cheapest by a long way. They have an ebay shop as well and often have deals on the full system.

A warning about roofracks: I fitted a 'universal' one to an old scoob of mine and it crushed the roof. If you do go for one make sure it's specific for the car.
