Default What would be left to match STI spec?

My WRX Hawk currently has:

Mahle forged pistons,
Latest STI Gasket set
New fuel pump
ACI competition bearings
11mm ARP head studs
Stage 2 competition clutch
Ecutek III remap

I know the STI has a 6 speed tougher box , what other bits would be left to meet the STI spec? brembos? different turbo? more?

Cheers

and if doing brakes then wheels

the list is quite long, apart from above

AFAIK wrx and Sti suspension is different inc. wish bones/lower arms, arb's etc
steering rack?? Diffs??

not getting into the cosmetics like seats etc etc

Now the old question, wouldn't it be easier and in the long run cheaper to buy an Sti?

steve

That's what I'm trying to figure out, which would be cheaper, another issue is the 2.5 problems, I'd have to find an STI that was forged/fixed as I'd want Hawk or Hatch

JDM hawk is probably best way to go, but forged 2.5's done properly are awsome too

Why are you aiming to meet the STI spec? Why not beat it?

Good point! I'm at about 280 - 290 bhp now, would need the box changed and bigger turbo, injectors etc which is prolly another 5 - 6k I reckon

Makes more sense granted you won't have DCCD but it's not the end of the world on a road car.

As for the gearbox, I'm not sure. I swear I read somewhere that the 2.5l gets a stronger gearbox. Failing that the PPG straight cut kit is another option.
