Default Anyone want a cheap, 30K miles 05 JDM Blob STI?

Be very quick...

Just been doing my hourly widetrack STI search when a new one was listed on Autotrader. However a few things werent quite right when I was asking questions to the garage who clearly arent familiar with their Subarus. What makes me think its JDM;

Hawk speedo clusters.
Tinted rear windows.
Retrofitted rear fog lamp.

It only has 30K miles and 2 owners. Garage were confused as first owner is second owner. Not terribly clued up but presume first owner is importer?

What did put me off was no service book, the car has been self serviced by its mechanic owner. Dodgy perhaps, dont know. I wanted a UK model anyway.

Ive told the garage out of courtesy I think its JDM as they seemed clueless, maybe they'll realise its worth and increase price, maybe they'll just want rid.

Was up for £8900, I had them down to £8500 already until I realised it was JDM and backed out.

Hope this helps someone out, be interested to know how you get on Hope I get good karma in return and a UK widetrack comes along or someone sends me a thank you

No photos on their site yet but he emailed me some. He said bodywork is mint, in fairness it looks clean.

Need to add I could completely wrong and it's a dodgy UK one, but feel pretty confident.

I think the rear wiper and the fact it dont say type uk under the sti badge give it away as a jdm.

Nothing other than resale value - as a prospective buyer it put me off as couldnt be sure on correct service intervals or cambelt change. That said I would have still potentially bought it (if it were UK) and had a full cambelt service and knocked their price way down.

Not sure on worth of this car, surely more than £8500 though. Even milage alone not to mention JDM.

Interesting! Could this been an administrative error perhaps during importing?

If its clean and look spot on, why not take a chance on it, If I was buying a car, and I am very picky when it comes to my cars, I would still buy a car that has no service book as long as it has all the receipts and I really dont mind if its been done by the owner himself!!

I also think it is a JDM.
Rear wiper, external fog light , redline 8k.
What do you mean by number plate craddle?
How can you tell it has no DCCD? The angle from which the pic is taken means that if there is a switch it is hidden.

Haha, too late James mate, gave it up to all the nice folk on Scoobynet now

Just hope someone gets it and not someone like Hurst cars who will stick £4K on and put it back up for sale the next day.
