Angry Anybody with guide to fitting scoobyworld mudflaps

Hi Guys

Been trying to follow the instructions with the SW mudflap install and i am a bit lost!!

Managed to get the nut holders behind the skirt and so on and managed to get the flaps actually on the car just for a wee look.

However there is only 6 of these nut holder things in the pack, and i used four on front. So is two for rear right (one each side)?

However not sure if done properly, it seems that they could easily be nicked if someone has a spanner handy?!

Also why is the hanger so long into the arch of the car that it requires a self tapping screw. Can i hammer this screw in without drilling into of car?

Also what holes do you use the long screws in?

Does anybody have a guide they could give me please, pictures would be fab?

Cheers

Chris

Its a few years since I fitted mine - but don't remember a problem with the instructions.

These are the bits you should have :-

The hanger on the front is so long to give the mudflap support. You will need to drill a pilot hole each side for the self tappers (no chance of hammering it in - thick steel). Make sure you use a rust proofer (Waxoyl) before putting the screws in.

Try do a search on here - there may be threads with fitting instructions.

Yep, thats correct, 4 on the front, 2 rear.

A lot of effort needed to nick 4 flaps plus brackets and fixings

The end of the bracket is secured by the 2 self tapping screws, you'll need to drill a small pilot hole for each

Also what holes do you use the long screws in?
If you mean the 2 long 70mm bolts, then these secure the rears, along with the nylon spacer.[/QUOTE]

If you're still stuck drop me a pm and I'll forward you a set of instructions

Cheers
