Default power steering

Hi my 54 plate wrx power steering judders a bit when cold but works fine when warm any ideas on what this could be? And also is the fluid meant to be dark brown?

the fluid is meant to be red, it could be worth starting with changing the fluid.

Check your belt tension. PS fluid is supposed to be red but most cars never change it because it's a pain of a job to do
