Default big cone/air filter heat protecters

Anyone know where to buy a heat shield/cover for a big aem filter..want to try to cover some of the filter up from hot air.i know k&n do heat protecters but thats only when you buy one of their filters cheers

K&n , would be easy to make. I made one for my mates Evo from aluminium.

I don't think they will make any noticeable difference, it's only two small rubber hoses, so not enough surface area to make any real world difference.

If it was a closed box, with no air flow through it, then yes it probably would affect the temp in the "box" slightly, but as it is there is a lot of air flow through due to it being an engine air intake.

I think they are a waste of time, lots of cold air available when your driving at driving at speed, if you have a TMIC then heat soak via your filter is the least of your worries?
