Not sure what you mean mate,i,ll explain.:-)
I had a dodgy idle control valve,so ive bought a 2nd hand one as they are over 300 new.
Now the problem has changed from crap cold start to now it stays at 2500 ish rpm from cold or warm.
I had jgm look at it as he thought he could adjust the icv for better cold start but the icv was fubared so wasnt adjusting.
Ive told jgm about it sitting at 2500 rpm and he says either 2nd hand icv is also dud or the alcatek ecu has blown the icv motor drive whatever that is.
He has given me a test to try on icv to see if its moving but just thought if anyone local then better to give a real test on another car.
Its 2 screws and takes less than 5 mins to swap over. :-)

Ok. I've tested the new 2nd hand one as per jgm instructions and the valve isn't moving in or out when plugged on the car.can I test that I'm getting a signal from the cars icv socket with a multi meter?
The breaker I bought it off said it was removed from a car he was driving but has still said I can send it back.
Is there anywhere cheaper than import car parts to get one?
