If I was you I would give it some more time but make yourself open to sensible offers as the work involved in swapping parts over and then waiting for pats to be sold I don't personally think that its worth the hassle, you have got a superb car and the right buyer is out there somewhere just try to be patient and try not to make any rash decisions.SJ.

my new cars ready in two weeks and will have time to strip this
just don't want two cars sitting on the drive
until the type r sells

I only use my car once a week so to have nearly 18k in two cars sat there does my head in
hence the rash decision to strip

I understand your problem now,I guess it's good to get the feelers out to see if there is any interest/guaranteed buyers for your parts first but I still think you should wait and get it sold together,I always pay close attention to the Subaru parts section and breaking threads and sometimes you can be left out there for months waiting on a sale,it's coming up to spring/summer when people always want a nice car to rollin I'm sure your one will sell without the added stress of pulling it apart.SJ.

Sorry to say this, but if it won't sell it's due to the price, there are a few other reasons it's not sold at the price your asking, ie lack of 6 speed and standard internals, which needs to be reflected in the price i'm afraid.

I'm sure it's a very nice car and I realise you've put a lot into it, not trying to P1ss on your chips just saying it as I see it.

Stripping and returning to standard is going to cost a bit too, and presumably it will need mapping for the standard parts as well, so maybe not so cost effective as a price reduction.

if it had a 6 speed and a 2.1/ forge build
it defo wouldn't be 8500

the car is worth 8500 all day
and sj is right the right buyers are out there it's just people on here want things for next to nowt
( as I some times do ;-) )

Get it advertised on Pistonheads Stu, just advertising on here and the MLR is like fishing in a garden pond! It's a great looking car and will attract more attention if advertised nationwide.
