Default Prodriverules 'candy' makeover

Another project for us to get our teeth into, this time it's a bit different as this one's going 'candy apple red'!
It's going to be the darker wine shade of candy so it won't be to over bearing in it's colour, should hopefully look quite special once finished.

As with any classic impreza it's got the usual rusting in the rear arches and a few dinks here and there, but I must say the shell overall is in good condition.

The fun has started with removal of the exterior trims/door handles etc and prep has begun, rusted arche area's have been cut out and new steel is to be welded in.

I'm sure the owner will be along soon to claim right to the vehicle

This is my old girl, owned it for the last 12 years and decided she needed a special makeover.
Cheers For putting the thread up Ryan, loving it.

As I had bare metal/filler on show and I haven't had time this week to fabricate pieces for the rear arches as it's quite involved with filler after I decided to get the shell into high build primer ready for block flatting.

Once the rear arches are done and in primer it will be time to remove the front bumper/doors/boot and bonnet so we can get the back sides painted plus door shuts.

At this point we will re-install the doors/boot/bonnet,remove front/rear glass and shoot the candy on the car as one par bumper, doors handles/side skirts and spolier so we get the best match throughout the car.

Exciting stuff, especially as this is the colour I want to eventually go.

Will it look like Mad Doc's old RS?

I saw this car today and it looks even better in sunlight, let me just host the pics and I will show you all how good a job this really is.

If the owner of the car wants them in their full unstripped out, pre Photobucket glory then just drop me a PM with your email address on it and I will send the HDR versions through.
