LordGs - 2004 Impreza STi WR1
Hi everyone,
OK, wanted to start a bit of a thread to document my progress and my journey with my WR1 number 284.
Some initial details:
I am less than a week into ownership, but I am very pleased.
Here are some pics of the car 'as is' today. Before any cleaning, before anything:

That looks smashing, I imagine you're on a real high at the moment.
You might like to go to your local Aldi sharpish and get some of these to stick onto your walls and help protect the doors:

I've just got some for mine and they're a great idea.

OK, after a couple of days running around, I think I am going to put the Prodrive exhaust back on (dont like the sound of the Vortex).
Previous kindly gave me the original prodrive silencer as part of the deal.
So I decided to clean up the original while it was not on the car.

LOL - I know, but the great thing about these forums is diversity. I really like the WR1, the looks and the drive. This is the car that got me into a Subaru from a Audi, so cant be all bad
Will keep posting updates unless told not too - LOL

Greetings all,
Sunny day today, no training today because I am injured, so a day cleaning the car. This is something I really enjoy doing. Take my time. Potter around the garage. The journey has started to make 284 my own. Much much much more to do, but a good start.
Today I:
A good day getting to know my WR1.

Nice wr1. I picked up no.282 yesterday. Looks like you're doing a good job of cleaning her up. I need to do a detailing restock after switching from a red a3. Any idea where your mudflaps came from? I'd really like a set. Keep up the good work.
Hey Willosdad - sorry the mudflaps came with the car - no idea where they came from. i noticed you picked up 282 - hope it is going well.....so much fun to drive :-)
Alloy Refurb
Not done too much recently, just enjoying driving her at every opportunity. However, I have recently refurbished all the alloys and put on new tyres all round. As always here are a bunch of pictures:
Wheels in original condition:

Jacked up and wheel off to the alloy-man!

Wheels back looking very nice; decided to stay with dark grey on the outside, but black on the inside:

Looking good. I managed to get some mudflaps made up pretty similar. Great idea doing the inside of the wheels black, looks spot on and hopefully cleaner between washes. I'll get mine refurbed in the spring. You're making some real progress there.
I've managed a wash and seal, a new gearknob, and some mudflaps.
