Thumbs up Bugeye WRX Wagon

I wanted to start a thread to serve as a mini diary of my car. This is my first Scooby and first 4wd performance car.

I bought her back in September; 73,000 miles, full dealer history, completely standard and a few stone chips aside a mint car.

Here is what she looked like back then:

I had no big plans, but was keen on a remap at some point.

First job was an oil change, wipers and new headlamps. Followed by a jdm grill, clear side repeaters and clear reflectors.

Here it is in the snow...

I also fitted a Lamco boost gauge to the steering wheel cowl. Functional but looks cool and discreet.

Next up is a set of Godspeed brakes and a DoLuck panel filter (quite noisy on boost).

Im not a fan of cars that have more sho than go, but the scooby has a bit of go as standard. So I went for an alloy tax disc holder along with short numbler plates front and rear, some side skirts and tinted windows...

I have also been collecting parts...

Some strut braces (quite rare for a wagon).

Harvey Smith upipe.

More parts and a man with a laptop to follow!

Busy evening, spoke to Andrew Carr about a remap and he recommended a sti top mount or y-pipe. I dont want sti tmic yet as I have spent a lot and Im keeping the td04 for now.

So I found a WRX topmount with PPP y-pipe only £15 off of the bay!

Busy few weeks, fitted a full leather interior which really transforms the car.

Suspension upgraded... Tein springs with kyb gold shocks and front/rear strut braces. Looks so low, even my mother noticed it looked differant! lol

Also fitted fuel pump and propdrive y-pipe.

Suspension alignment done, this is the best mod you can do to your car. Best £60 I have spent!

Few more updates.

JDM pink badge grill.

Mongoose 3" Turboback Exhaust System

Some great work from Pole Position fitting the Harvey decat upipe and turbo back system. Also a CarBerry ROM remap from Andrew Carr. It is almost like a new car, much stronger pickup and pull in every gear and the soundtrack is immense... deep burble at idle, very loud exhaust note over 3000rmp and also turbo whistle. I have had some real fun in the car this week!

Added some ProSport gauges (oil pressure, oil temp and boost). These really seem to change the car, almost has a different feel to it now and more of a sense of occasion when turning the key!

Daytime...

Nightime...

Finally happy with the car (for now), next steps will be some suspension goodies.
