Default building not bought, 600bhp long build

Good luck, been there done that (601 bhp /565ft lbs). Mine was a true DIY driveway build. If mine was anything to go buy you're in for some ups and downs.

My advice here is during the downs (they are inevitable and will occur no matter if you think they wont or not) stick with it and see it through to the end. I did and mine is fooking awesome fun

Good luck my friend, I shall follow with interest.

I think you need to rethink your My99 four brakes if your going for 600bhp!

I'd sell that manifold on if i were you before its scrap. It will probably crack all over the place looking at the design of it.

Stick with tried and tested stuff. you'll not go far wrong with a GT Spec gen2 manifold especially if you're aiming for 600bhp.

And don't forget to get it ceramic coated! Check out Zircotec website who I had used for mine.

http://www.zircotec.com/

Are you intending to run Nitrous as steering wheel has a "nos" button or was it a case of that steering wheel was available at the time?

il let them fall apart before i change them, but i did check the grade of the metal and its pritty decent compared to the gt spec ones. they will probs crack at the weld but then i can weld the welds back up and it will be twice as strong. like i say the upipe will be getting cut twisted and new flanges adapted to fit the gt. yes im running nos

OK let me put it another way. It's a crap design and wont flow anywhere near aswell as the GT ones. You won't get anywhere near 600bhp with them.

They'll be forever cracking no matter how good your welding is.

If your going to say it say it properly

In fairness though in the nicest possible way i agree with Daz, if your going for 600bhp you need everything to work very well.

Im going for 500bhp and you need good supporting mods for it to produce what your hoping for and for reliability of course.

Keep up the good work

Yes mate Harvey makes his own uppipe's but the headers themselves are the same as API/RCM and the like sell, they are the gt spec 3 bolt type and are next to none really par bespoke stuff.

the only thing the gt spec has diff is they can shrink with the join in them the flow is the same... but i will be going with gt spec ones anyway as the stainless at 600bhp will get very hot and need to shrink

anyway got some more parts jdm drift hooks
