well quickly welded a bar at the very back of the chassis legs. just need to turn the metal that hangs down from the back around

UPDATE



6 hour round trip and a tobys carvery ended up with these v4 sti heads






then stone chipped arches and undernieth






welded in extra door bars to cage

Never got it rolling but started with me heads

Valve spring commpressor in place




Compressed to access retainters




Tool I use to get retainers basically a little magnet



Retainers out there two like horse shoes



Then all you haft to do is push the valve back through,

Ending up with all this on one head




Then finished off with a blow through and boxed ready for engineer to work his madgic

striped the heads for 14mm head stud converion, o ring conversion, port and polish and to get some new valves and double springs, off to the engineer in 2 weeks

Whats the logic with drilling holes in the bumpers? weight saving?

Interesting project but i don't understand the holes in the front and rear bumpers, also is it me but thr holes don't even look even or is that just the camera angle

your right they dont look even but defo are shopfitter by day, so there pritty perfect there is one out by my joiners eye though lol,


ive seen other cars with it done and though it looked good but after doining it probs for air flow on the front to keep things cool and to lighting back bumper on the back, om trying to make the car look diff aswel. cheers

got my engine back to my place, try and get it ready for spray. im just going to laquar it as i like the metal look, as you can imangine an engine found in a barn it was black im chuffed with how ive got it

exhaust needs welding in right place and diffuser wings need putting on

ive done it for strengh daz probs not do much but every bit helps ive got the back of the strut top to bulk head just trying to give the legs some surrport in a bump or twist

I see your logic but I think all you've done there is added extra weight.

I'm no expert by any means but even the WRC cars start Strengthening work (seam welding etc) from the front strut towers backwards.

The front wants to be able to absorb any impacts not be resistant to them.

Not criticising btw just trying to be constructive

yeh your right daz probs have done it the wrong way round will be ok in a litte bump but if im going to have a big one i dont think anything i will do will help the car, i mite save my engine with these bars in lol probs not though, i need some advice on my heads though if you want to help out
