STI V4 TypeR project
Hi guys, first post so hello everyone.
Im not to clued up on Scobby's yet but here goes.
Bought the car at the begining of November as a non running project. The last owner was driving it when the flywheel came off of the crankshaft and smashed the gearbox and engine casings to bits so it needed the engine recased.
This is it when I first bought it
I then set about getting the engine of it as the gearbox was already out. Once the engine was out i stripped it to a block.
I sourced a closed deck block for scottishsubaru's in paisely, then set about srtipping the both blocks
It had uprated cosworth pistons in it.
When I stripped both blocks i realised that my new block was a centre thrust and my old one was an end thrust so i've got a brand new crank and acl bearings lined up for it. I have also taken my new block to get bored out to accept the oversized pistons.
Thats it up until now. Hopefully have some updates soon. Sorry for the crap pics, the camera on my phone is poor
