Default Fitted some intercooler fans

On my classic TMIC
Delta 190 cfm each 12cm fans

Had to remove the underscoop splitter tho

seen thru scoop,sti8 replica jobby

wondering if its worth fitting them at each end rather than 2 in the middle, since i have a gap alot of the air is blowing out the sides of where the fans are but its cool on top of the TMIC

sorry but all you have done is restricted airflow through the intercooler.

as JGM said,i have seen a hks mod somwhere on the net of 3 similar sized fan's(diameter) but very thin, placed on the lower side of the i/c,would presume better than your idea, but better off going the wrighty route.

I've found that the seal, which you've removed, is very important to the cooling efficiency...

^ +1 Much better to fit an upgraded undertray than the fans to ensure maximum air is directed at the intercooler.

Excuse me being dull but wont they just move whatever air is around them, so it will still be hot air being blown in..maybe a touch cooler but I doubt enough to make a difference, and at any speed they will prevent air getting to the cooler

Hey guys, its all well saying ah,its crap, but worth a try so i did.

It works, maybe not great, but temps do get lowered and at speed i havent noticed a difference yet,but agree,i am trying to achieve better,a different TMIC etc,i cant afford a remap so FMIC is a no no

You don't have to have a remap with an FMIC, your car isn't going to blow up by fitting one.

All a remap will do is fine tune things. You're not going to get a massive flow difference because you're using the same turbo.

I would only have a remap if changing turbo, injectors, induction!, fuel type or internals!
