Default Engine Conversion

Arite folks, im new to this forum.

Im looking for some advice and a bit of help.

I have a 97 subaru sport, and i am looking to find out what would be invloved in changing the engine to a 2.0 turbo'ed engine from the sti or wrx model.

If anyone could give me some advice on the best way to do it, and what parts i would have to change, such as brakes and fuel tank and things.

And if anyone knows roughly how much parts would cost.

thanks

above post is right, ive just converted my 99 sport with a v1 closed deck, , had to build my own wiring loom, the front crossmember is different , the sport gearbox needs to be changed and the rear diff, to use the proper gearbox you need to convert the clutch pedal to hydraulic system and not cable, the list goes on, and in my experience, used a second hand engine had it running for two weeks then it spun the crank so im looking at engine out again now!!!!!!

For what turbo models are going for now it will be cheaper and far far easier to sell your sport and buy a turbo.

It's a complete and utter waste of time and money converting the sport IMHO
