advice on performance upgrade
new to forum and a virgin scooby owner recently bought 51 wrx standerd got full exhaust and k&n induction kit from scooby world £600 but looking in future to try get car running at around 350/400 bhp but just read the 600bhp article and never realised just what was involved and how much money so any advice of where to start and how much it would eventually cost will be most grateful thanks
for the cost and work to get 400bhp on that wrx, i would probably just settle for a well mapped reliable 330bhp and similar torque, with great handling, otherwise as said before, it would be best to start with a sti.

As above 320-340 relatively easy, but still not cheap. Apart from the cost of the mods and labour required to achieve a figure in this range, you'll really also need to uprate the brakes and suspension. Also, there is a chance your gearbox might say cheerio (depending how you drive).
If you aim to go above 300 (and you don't want to thow shed loads of cash at the car then you really are better off starting with an STi
