95 FWD 1.8 to AWD 6-speed turbo!
I am from the states, and am slowly doing this project. I was wondering if anyone here could give advise on the early bonnet scoop and how well it flows air to the IC. With say a ver. 8 IC will it flow enough to support around 320 HP 320 torque at the wheels as a daily driver in 100F degree heat on either a 2.0 or 2.5 STi short block? Will I need to go with a front mount or just switch headlights grill and hood to the ver. 5 to increase flow to the IC? Any info will be a great help. Thanks.
Cheers,
Wayne

I have an Sti V3 running about 380 bhp on an Sti V8 TMIC with large aftermarket scoop.(@ 1.4 bar max)
All is well, but we don't have ambients @ 100F often! (80's usually on a hot summer's day)
If you run the car hard in those temp then I doubt that the TMIC will chill the induction air sufficiently.

I am currently in Georgia and it gets just over 100 in the summer. I will be moving to San Antonio, Texas in July though and it gets nearer 120's there. Is the ver.3 hood the same as the ver.2? I was wondering about the ver.2 style hood?

What are some front mount IC's will fit the ver.1-4 front bumper cover? I like what I've read about the APS units. Has anyone used one of these?

As far as I know there is only one front mount kit available that doesn't require any cutting of the front bumper, and that is the Lateral Performance unit. I suspect however that is a touch over the top for your needs, and you wouldn't be able to retain an air con system if you have one fitted.
The APS units have very good cores, although I don't like the all silicon connecting pipes that the supply on some of the kits, which is why I originally went for an HKS kit for my car.

Would I be better off going with a ver.3-6 hood possibly with a bigger scoop and using a ver.9 intercooler? I will be running a JDM ver. 8-9 intake manifold. I am yet undecided on the twin scroll.

Do you have any pics of the IC and rad. installed? Is the system more narrow so that it will feed in through the verticle metal pieces?

Which intercooler?
This link is for the HKS Intercooler
This link is for the Lateral Intercooler on it's own
And finally this gallery has various pictures in it of the Lateral Intercooler fitted
