Default svx 3.3

would a 3.3 flat 6 from a svx fit in a impreza if so what can be the expected bhp if the 3.3 is tuned

Yes, but it's tight! The EG33 engine is effectively the two cylinders or 1.5 times longer than and EJ20 four pot, sharing similar cylinder spacing. Around 300 brake is acheivable from it in NA form, however twin turbos can make things more interesting

The EZ30 3 litre engine from the 6 pot Outback and Legacy models is however smaller, it's engine is different in design to the EJ 4 pots, and is only about 20mm longer than the 4 pot, unfortunately until the latest generation legacy the engine had two siamesed exhaust ports on each back which made making a twin turbo difficult, the new engine is known as the EZ30R

Oh and Pat Herborn has been tinkering around with a twin turbo EG33 engine in an Impreza for a while...it's not finished yet, too many of us stealing his valuable time, but it will be one day
