Subaru Legacy GTB Engine in a Porsche 914
Greetings,
I have purchased a Subaru EJ20 "DETT" twin turbo engine which I intend to fit to my mid-engined 1973 Porsche 914 (My other car is a 2.5RS - I am also a Subaru owner
)
I wondered if anyone has anyone has experience of getting this engine running?? I would be extremely grateful for any wiring or plumbing diagrams. I have the stock ECU, but not the airbox, or the appropriate wiring from the ECU to the engine, although I do have most of the wiring harness that lives on the engine.
I am currently in the process of rotating the intake manifold by 180 degrees so that the intercooler will clear the trunk on the 914. There are some pictures of the car and the engine at the 914club site - link is below if you are interested!
Link to project thread on 914club.com site.
Thanks in advance for your help and advice.
Fiid.

BTW, The ECU has the following part numbers.... if this is of any use!
22611 AB391
A18-000 RS5

You've made life hard for yourself by choosing the twin-turbo, my advice (as a TT owner) would be to convert it to single turbo. At the very least that would solve your starter clearance problem, but it would also give you a simpler more realisable system with potentially a lot more power.
Anyway send me an email and I'll reply with some TT stuff that might help. Do you know the model code or year of the donor car?
