is the 'put-fog-light-in-reverse-light' MOT legal??
If so- great I will do mine ASAP..
how did you mean change the wiring? I thought the fog wire would already be there? and you just disconnect the 2nd reversing cable and **** in the fog light? no???

My god it's cold outside today! 1 1/2 hours later and I've done the easy one.

here is the before shot (max my cat is inspecting the goods)


I've got one out and I've cleaned up the area as good as I can. I've heated the remaining goo and smoothed it down with my finger.


re-gooed it up and bolted it back in. Looks better already.


I took more of a brutal approach with the second and wrenched it off with a screwdriver in about 5 minutes

I've found a wicked technique for removing the goo as well, put a screwdriver up to it sideways and keep turning the screwdriver, the goo wraps round the screwdriver

Anyway, here's the finished look, only 12hrs for the stuff to cure now.





I've opted for the 'put-fog-light-in-reverse-light' option rather than cutting another hole for the fog light. I think it's better just to wack and red bulb in and change the wiring.

Not entirly sure at the moment as I've not looked at it yet. Did a search on here though and ppl are doing this. You only need 1 reverse light and 1 fog light so by putting a red bulb in the drivers side reverse light makes sense, can't see why it wouldn't pass mot.

I wasn't sure if the fog light holder fitted in the reverse light hole, if it doesn't then I think you can disconnect the wires at the connector rather than chopping into them. Will post here when I've done it

You can put the rear fog in the reverse light.

Or if you look in the sti rear lights, there is a little compartmnet (box). You can make a whole in that and put the rear fog in that.

So you still keep your 2 reverse lights, have a rear fog in the cluster, and looks much neater all in 1 go.
