New member so I hope I posted in the correct section if not i can take it down.
I recently purchased my first Subaru (1997 JDM Subaru Legacy 4 door wagon, 5 speed, twin turbo, EJ20K) about 5 months ago and the car was running like a dream up until this past Saturday. I parked after driving for about 20 minutes to get out and notice a metallic like tick coming from the the center of the motor. I'm 99% sure that its not a valve tick. Its hardly noticeable when its running cold, but if i hold it at about 1500 rpm it sounds like a hollow metal sound. My fluids were recently done but I'm going to do a oil flush later today to see if it helps. My friend says he thinks that it might be a connecting rod bearing. Has anyone else experienced something like this? Whats a good website to source parts from? What motor is compatible if it comes to having to swap it? Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance
