Default info on Ej20K intake manifold fit onto a ej20G?

to start, i apoligize for being an american-

i have a Ej20G wrx (96 sti-ra v2). I got my hands on a EJ20K 98 sti-ra compelte motor and was going to just swap longmotors and keep everything else ej20g (run 90 deg td05 and 5 injector intake manifold and COP), but the more i look at the EJ20K intake manifold, the more it seems that the IAC is direct plug and play. I'm running a FMIC, so intercooler is not an issue to me, i have the VF series turbine and i can easily fab inlet plumbing to connect my EJ20g maf to the under manifold turbine, so thats not a concern to me either.

so to Ej20K into a EJ20G car i would:

-fit ej20G PS lines into EJ20K ps pump
-fit EJ20g engine wiring harness (undermanifold) to ej20K place
**is ej20K and Ej20G IAC compatible?
**which throttle body to run ? EJ20G or K? it should be direct bolt up right?
-fit COP's - does anyone know if COP ej20g style is convertable to ej20K waste spark style? ive been having bad luck with coilpacks lately

Any insight or referances to threads of relevance would be great. I'm familar with longblock swapping (im running a ej20H longmotor actually with my ej20G everything).

thanks alot for the help!

the only issue wiring wise iirc is the throttle position sensor it can be got around unless you are running the standard ecu in which case you will have to run the ej20g throttle position sensor.. unless someone knows a way to sort the 4th wire tripping the CEL.. so go with the ej20g throttle body.

Yes you can swap the wiring to use the wasted spark coil..
You can join the feeds together etc..

hey-

thanks for the info. could you shed some light on the differances / similarities of COP and waste spark? ive got the impression that the ignitor sends pulse to each coilpack individually on the G - is it opposing pairs that get that and then the waste spark distributes it on the K? I've played very minimaly with ignition system - only experiance is converting a FD 13brew to run on 13b-t FC coilpack.

tons of reasons.

better heads. better cams. better valvetrain. titanium stuff. I have a complete good ej20k longmotor. lower compression. newer parts. better cooling. etc.....

I dont bench race, nor do i care to- im just going for an upgrade.

newer is better. just like all these threads of classic impreza's eating coilpacks. they're old.......and 200 quid for 4 coilpacks is just outrageous- espically for our weak american dollar.

I might be an idiot american, but idiot americans know how to break things too (while our ponies are abit weaker than the european ponies). 56 psi of boost will crack an open deck block (GT40R on a open deck phase 1 Ej25 NA block). I cant afford 56 psi of boost, thus no worry for me
