Blob WRX wide forged 2.5 6spd
I got hold of a blob wrx which was running a 2ltr, 330bhp, alcatek, 5spd, some suspension mods, bolt on arches, sti bumpers, spoiler and a set of rotas. Disappointed with the performance, but liking the car, I got to work! I lost my old phone with early pics on so no pics from when I got it! Anyways, the arches needed fitting properly and the wings and rear quarters sorting so that the wheels could travel up fully. Took a fair bit of cutting and welding out back and big gaps between arches and quarters I decided to bond the rear arches on and fiberglassed between the door shuts and arches. I also added some spacers to push the wheels out a bit more.
I broke a dog of a newage a while back which had a full sti interior still in it, so in it went complete with blue carpet and also added gauge pod which you can see the original clock through. Rubbish pic but it's all I have!
Brakes next, out with the old and on went some k-sports front and back
Pulled the motor and box out and sold them to partially fund building a 2.5 with uprated pistons, rods, bearings, head studs, oil pump, avcs heads etc etc
Opted for an SC46 turbo, rcm headers, Harvey up pipe and a few other bits to try and hit 500lb/ft torque
The motor build:
Blocks, 1 clean, 1 dirty
Checking clearances
Pool table worked a treat 😊
Gaped rings
Short block done
Old style pickup
Combustion chamber mods
ARP studs & metal head gaskets
Carefully painted a few bits along the way and assembled heads to block
Will be reversing the inlet so smoothed off the ugly lugs and painted it
And the turbo got some high temp paint
Assembled, almost complete 😊
Bigger Turbo inlet and I'll be running a straight hard pipe inlet so had to modify the inlet manifold to accomodate this
Then I went to take it outside and hit a little snag.... 😂
Luckily these motors are fairly lightweight so got a mate to help lift it off the stand and through the door
I then moved to France to a house which needs a bit of work but has great potential and a nice size workshop 😊 Projects everywhere I look at the moment! Hopefully worth it though!

That's about all the pics I got on my phone unfortunately.
Is that on a 2.5 with avcs? How much boost are you running?
Can't wait to get it sorted, the roads over here are immense!

I'm not sure on boost will have to dig out sheets I think it's around 2 bar but please don't bank me on that. I will be looking at avcs heads soon as only using standard still
