Default Subaru ra ver2 stroker 2.1 project

Had car for ten years before she blew up, so engine has been rebuilt by allen jefferies and is now 2.1 stroker fully forged, next is heads and so on, the aim is to keep her looking as original as possible with 500bhp

Was that a forged rebuild 30k ago? Did allen jefferies build it? How much abuse did you give it, i would hope for more than 30k out of mine

Yep, one of the first ET strokers, it was only ever driven to within an inch of its life, and it was an open deck block....

As you can see from my vids I don't **** around, launch control and side step the clutch etc. And the guy who originally had it did mostly track days and fast road stuff with it. A real testament to the quality of the build IMO.

I would have said 30k at this kind of power and use without having to do anything to it other than a shim is bloody good going... Unless you baby it (which I don't see the point of having 500hp if you are going to do that)

I guess whats the point in having it if you dont use it, hoping closed deck block will help things, i know im gonna be scard to use it when its done after all the time and money spent, but as soon as i get to track day im gonna nail it

I'm guessing your changing the box for that kind of power? If so will your box be for sale?

Yeah the plan was to get mine rebuilt with a taller 5th, but my gear box is in perfect working order so gonna use it for now and keep my eyes open for a 6speed from STI RA and get that rebuilt as love the close ratio on RA boxes,

Yeah I know what you mean, I love the ratio's on my RA. I stripped fifth in mine but don't really want to go for the taller fifth as I've heard it's quite a drop from forth.
Maybe if you do swap your fifth you'd sell me the one you remove?

Allen jefferies says engine is good for 500bhp, so next he is doing my heads and matching them to the 2.1 stroker, then exedy pink clutch and forged flywheel, then engine can go back in, not sure which turbo yet but gonna spend grand, simitec ecu, bigger injectors then rolling road, defo want three engine maps and most of all anti lag sure that will be between 400-500bhp and my car only weighs 1050kg cant wait
