Project not the trend
HI guys and girls
Been a while but back in (a way) my scooby, after 4 years in the garage it is time to give the old girl a make over.
The plan with the car is do something different, something not the trend. How she was
How she is now
Now currently wearing the ABW two door conversion kit, Airrex Air suspension, the same type use in the Taiwan Touring Car Championship, engine at the min is about 300bhp but this will be coming more later. I know I'm going to get stick for the air suspension but I wanted shock value to help promote my shows. more updates to follow.

So the air suspension hasn't been fitted yet? as that's clearly been photoshopped (poorly
) to lower it.

Looked better before IMO. That 2 door conversion kit doesn't work due to the size of the door.....Looks all out of proportion.

Sorry, have to agree with jay. Sure it'll look better all one colour though.

Don't give him too much of a hard time chaps, at least he had the ***** to put it on here.
And besides I'd like to see how this one turns out, in particular what roof vent he fits and colour scheme he chooses.

Thanks for the comments guys, the whole point of the car is to be different and pull in bad and good comments, its a promo tool
Got the measure up wheels fitted today, 18x10.5 and we still have room with the air completely out.
The struts in and final setup plus changing out all the air lines to Hel Brake lines for a more robust setup also all the Summit new rear arms and braces arrived yesterday to stiffen up the body
I know not everyone will like her but its the First GC8 in the UK and Europe on air and someone had to do it
. Wait till you see the colour and what me and daren at ABW do with the kit that will really split peoples opinion. O there no roof vent here, roof vents are for race cars

Nice mate. Like that it's bagged. I'm not a fan of havair at all though, some of the work I've seen by them has been appauling and dangerous.

You must be blind then
The 1st lowered pic is, but the other ones aren't and there's a vid showing it in action.

Cool. I like it and should look mean when complete.
I'm currently building my own 1966 beetle on full air ride suspension and custom chassis so I certainly don't mind a bit of air suspension!
