Track car build help
Evening all,
Looking at building a impreza track car classic shape (t reg).
Could anyone help by telling me what power would be acheivable without going forged?
Also how much would a forged engine cost and to what bhp could a forged engine take.
Any costs/ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

as with most things all depends on how big & deep your pockets are............
presuming UK/WRX base car then personally around 350bhp would be about the safe limit IMO albeit there are cars that do and have run higher but offers a huge question mark as to how long they will last
as for forged builds then the capability depend on the components used and exact spec its built to, but bear in mind the engine is only part of the overall cost of a high power build and you need to factor in supporting fuel/turbo/handling/brake mods to cope also
