My run around is for sale as I no longer need a car here.

1994 SS-II Celica

L Reg. Red. 5 spd. All electrics. Recent service. It is an import model so has the 2 litre engine (slightly more horse than a UK). Very clean car in excellent condition. 60,000 miles. Tape / CD player. In excellent condition. Interior is spotless.

MOT till September. Tax expired a couple weeks ago so I will put another 6 months on it.

The car is in South London.

£4,200

No trades as I don't need a car anymore

Thumbs up

Looks pretty good mate.

Whats the insurance like on it?

I live in Newcastle too, so if I was interested would there be anyway of meeting halfway up?

How fast do you want/need to get rid?

I've just spotted an L Reg GT Celica (UK) with 57k on the clock for £3,500...

Whats the difference between the two?
(You said yours has more BHP than a UK car?)

Are imports not generally cheaper than UK cars?

It is the 2 litre. Most UKs I have seen are 1.8. This one is quoted at 180hp whereas the UK 2's are 170hp. Also fitted to this is a sports backbox but that is about it as far as mods go.

I am in Liverpool on May 9th if that helps. Otherwise I would consider meeting somewhere.

It is a very tidy car. The Jap ones tend to have every conceivable extra and electric function.

Insurance is circa £600 for me. I'm 29 with 13 years no claims and this is my 27th car. Hope this helps.

the SS1 is 140 bhp and the SS2 is 173 bhp - it is a generic engine used in both the UK and Jap models no power difference. Spec is usually hiher in Jap models.

I'd say 3.5k for this shape UK one is the exception rather than the rule.

Cheers for clearing that up Matt. Must be the exhaust that helps a little but not 7hp I imagine. What are the 1.8's rated at?

I believe 3.5 to be an exception with a lot of M regs sitting around 6-7. Seem a little unreasonable at that price.

It is still a nice drive (having had an STi, RA, 911, GT4). I do quite rate them for what they are.

I think the 1.8 is 115bhp. Not too shaby 60mph in 10 seconds and an average 38mpg!

The 2.0 should see a sub 8 second 60 sprint and just creeps in under a ton in 20 seconds, should also average about 32 mpg.

Decent motors IMO. Good performance and economy.
