Question Feeler FS: Simtek AL&LC ecu, VER3-4

Well I have a Simtek plug & play ecu for the VER3-4 Impreza 20k cars. It was installed and mapped by Jolly Green Monster in the previous owners car but I have never got around to installing it in my car. This unit does have the optional anti-lag and launch control features.

Im not positive I want to sell this unit yet but I will entertain offers.

Shipping will be free with fully insured value.

PRICE- £700 OR BEST OFFER!!!

jgm actually fits and maps them from £1030.00....obviously options like atilag and launch control are extras... So obviously you can deduct from yours whetver he will charge for mapping and ofcourse one must also take warranty's into consideration.... I dont really think you want to know my offer.

Rules say you must put a price up and so you should or stick on ebay and put the link here

Hmm, ok. Well I read the "read this before posting" and it says not to link to eBay, and it says nothing about posting a price.

I just posted the price for reference. Im sure most people would take into consideration that this is a second hand unit requiring either a professional tune or buy the self tune software from Simtek.

If you dont want to spend the money dont bother. Regardless this is a very capable system with many features in an easy to use package. Some people like that.

Thanks for the bump.

Rules are you must put up a price. And I believe ebay links are allowed these days.

Considering fitting and mapping is going to be at least £300, its not really worth much more than £400 IMO. If its a grand new £700 2nd hand all in seems fair?

So basically because the man does not want to go through paypal, you have not sold it to him. Not being funny or anything but with only 7 posts and 0 feedback, you are asking people to put a lot of trust in you and that is in short supply around here due to the number of people that have been scammed.

i think this sale thread is a dead duck, only a complete nutter would pay via paypal now if a offer of cash on collection was turned down.
i'd give up trying to sell it on here, i would prefer people coming to me to buy something shows 100% trust both ways and it's good to talk about your cars.

Im not local thats why I cant take cash.

If someone wants to come to the US to give me cash, by all means Ill meet them at the airport.

I bought this ecu because I heard so many good things about it, and I have been trying to get steve simpson to send me the customer prog kit for it for a few months now and Im not having the best of luck getting him to email me back. Since that is becoming diffucult, I figured I would try to sell it, but Im not going to be able to sell it in the US, Thats why Im selling it on a UK website.

I have the same username on nasioc.com and rs25.com, Ive been a member on those sites almost 5 years. If I could sell it in the US I would, but I dont see that happening.

Make sense now?

Ive been trying that, Steve Simpson is the "sim" in SimTek. I have been emailing him about twice a week for almost 2 months and at this point I think he is just ignoring me. All of the others just relay me to him so unless by some miracle someone here personally knows him, Im screwed.

Try emailing Andrew Leach @ Alcatek as he is the one that sends out the software.

I suppose if you still want to sell it work out the price and come to agreement with someone here and do the transaction through Buy it now on ebay and pay by Paypal Ebau is now a 100% guarantee so if you don't get your item then you will get a full refund if ebay product and paid with paypal.

Sorry.. I get the sw lead and sw from Steve or Andy at SimTek and due to my stupidly busy schedule don't have time to post stuff out regular so thought it easier to get you to speak direct to them to have it posted out direct to you rather than posted to me and posted to you etc.. Also it is not an item I want to / would make money on I would rather it were just sent out at same cost to me etc so the extra postage is pointless.
I didn't realise it had not been sorted already.. I know Steve has been mapping abroad a lot lately.

I beleive hopefully it had now been sorted as Andy at SimTek gave me a curtisy call to say someone had requested sw for an ecu I supplied.

I should be speaking with Andy tomorrow.. I will check it is being sorted.
