PSI3 ECU VFD monitor with Defi sensors
PSI3 ECU monitor, VFD model (not the cheap LCD one) with original subaru pod.
It comes with Defi oil temperature and oil pressure sensors, T-loom LMA adaptor in order to retain OE low pressure switch and cable to connect to OBDII under the steering column.
Exhaust gas temperature can also be monitored if an extra sensor is added.
The unit is complete with all the wiring needed, user manual and instructions on how to install it. Just plug and play.
There are 3 operating modes:
A) Normal display mode (entered automatically when the unit first starts up)
In this mode there are 8 pages to display.
1. Data page 1: displays up to 4 values decided upon the user. The list of items that can be displayed are:
- BP: boost pressure
- IN: intake air temperature (degrees C)
- CT: coolant temperature (degres C)
- ES: engine speed RPM
- BV: battery voltage
- TH: throttle poition
- RS: road speed (KMH or MPH)
- IA: ignition advance (degrees BTDC)
- AM: ignition advance multiplier (8-16 in increments of 1 in non-fly-by wire cars and 0-1 in increments 0.1 in fly-by-wire cars. This function is very useful to see if your car is correctly tuned. A value of 16 (or 1 in fly by wire cars) means that no knock is detected and your ECU is using the maximum igntion advance multiplier.
- AF: air flow meter (grams per second)
- LA: lambda sensor
- KC: knock correction (degrees, ignition offset)
- ID: injector duration (milliseconds)
- OT: oil temperaure
- OP: oil pressure
- EG: exhaust gas temperature (degrees C - needs extra sensor to be installed)
2. Data page 2: as per data page 1 (user selects which parameters of the above to display)
3. Data page 3: as per data page 1 (user selects which parameters of the above to display)
4. Data page 4: as per data page 1 (user selects which parameters of the above to display)
5. Data page 5: as per data page 1 (user selects which parameters of the above to display)
6. Peak boost: displayed in graphical mode along with current boost value
7. Peak coolant
8. Peak RPM
9. Peak speed
B) Display EDIT mode
C) Setup menu
- Reset peak values
- Water injetion set: allows the control boost pressure of the water injection output to be adjusted
- Shift light setup
- Show pending alarms
- Adjust alarm settings (allows user to set alarm points)
- Restore display items (resets factory settings for display)
- Read fault codes from ECU
- RESET ECU
Also BHP, torque and 0-60mph time can be displayed on a separate page
I might have forgotten some other functionality but detailed instructions are in the user manual.
It comes with two displays, blue and green.
All the above cost me £690 1 year ago. I am only selling it as I don't have the impreza anymore.
Offers above £350.
This is on a Forester's pod
And on the Impreza

I just installed one of these. Good bit of kit IMO.
What version is this? I don't think mine has the track day functions - can it work out 1/4 mile and engine power then?
The Defi sensors are alarmingly expensive!

Hello,
Could anyone refere me to a PSI3 dash display user manual.(EGV-1 Advanced vehicle ECU data monitor) are printed on the front panel, I drive an 07 WRX.
I had one and have misplaced it.Been searching the web for weeks with no clue.Does any one have a pdf file of it?
Has any other company taken over the PSI3 activities ?
Thanks.
