APS S/R50 Turbo & up-pipe, up to 525bhp
Ball bearing turbo suitable for 2.2 & 2.5L engines only, fits in standard pipework, rated by APS up to 525bhp (realistically 450bhp).
Was running 401bhp/420ft/lb @ 1.6bar with full boost by 4k on my car (std us sti 2.5L + v5 heads), if you have a forged 2.5 & dont want to change too much under the bonnet this is perfect for up to 525 bhp, will provide full boost well past the red line. Covered approx 25k, g.w.o. Comes with flexi, APS cast up-pipe & all brackets + heat shield. Very rare.
See link for technical info (scroll to bottom of page):
APS turbo data
Cost over £1600 new in 2004.

I now have a rotated garrett set-up with external wastegate fitted so this is now surplus.
Like bighead said this is a laggy turbo, if you fitted it to a 2.0L you wouldn't be hitting full boost until about 6k.

Its to be used on a stage 2 apex 2.5 motor mate. Was rebuiloding car on a budget, but its started to get out of hand as rebuilds usually do. Im not chasing the 400BHP mark but on a budget. Have everything else except a turbo now. But obviously want the right one. Couldnt get hold of my tuner on Friday, will try again on monday and let you know, am very interested tho matey. Any further info you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks. Stu

Depending on what other mods you have I don't see any reason you shouldn't be able to hit 400 with the engine you have & a good mapper. My short motor is a standard 2.5 & its been running this boost for approx 3 years & 25k with no probs, although im convinced the reliability I have is down to the oil I use.
