R33 Skyline GTR V-Spec - 425bhp+++
Here's an ideal opportunity for anyone who is thinking of building a high powered GTR. The previous owner of this car spent many thousands of pounds upgrading the engine internals for serious power, but the full potential has never been tapped. I've owned it for the last 3 years and have been happy with it as it is, as it is running a very safe 425bhp @ 1 bar. It's had steel internal turbos fitted so is good for 1.2bar, and with the other engine work will happily take this and a lot more in it's stride. The total of the bills for the upgrade work and extras added are well over 10k, and there must have been another 3 or 4k spent on various other extras along the way.
Here's a quick run down of some of the extras you'll be getting when you buy this car :
Engine
- Engine rebuilt approx 12k miles ago with new pistons&rings (HKS), new steel bottom end bearings and steel head gasket.
- Engine now 2.7 litre
- Steel internal turbos (safer to higher boost levels)
- Wide-band lamda sensor
- Abbey mapped ECU
I've had the car rolling-roaded and it gave 425bhp when running at 1 bar. The turbos are good for 1.2bar, but the EVC is not currently setup for this. At 1.2 bar you should easily get 460, and quite possibly 480bhp.
The nice thing about this car is that the internals of the engine are good for well over 600bhp, so if you're considering going for big power, this would be the ideal platform to start from.
I originally considered this, but I preferred the everyday drivability of these turbos, so kept it as is. This was originally a stop-gap car until the right P1 came along, but I ended up keeping it for nearly 3 years! A new house however is forcing me to make a bit more of an effort to sell it
Anyway, back to the car :
- Lowered 30mm onto HKS springs
- HKS air filters
- HKS dump valves
- HKS EVC boost controller (allows you to adjust the turbo boost from within the car)
- HKS turbo timer (auto adjusting delay)
- Remounted front indicators to get rid of the ugly orange blobby things, and driving lights put in their place.
- Colour coded front splitter
- Clear side repeaters
- Clear rear indics
- Zeibart paint protection system - No need to polish ever again !!
- Full Zeibart underseal
- Light tints on side windows
- Top notch Kenwood N'fit stereo with kevlar door speakers, 10 disk changer etc.
- Adequate security systems !!!
I'm quite keen to sell quickly so have decided that I'll forget the idea of getting all the cash back for the extra that have been added to the car. 6 months ago id someone had asked how much I wanted for the car I'd have said 19k, but I'm realistic and know the market is slow so will now take £16,500. This is really isn't much over what has been spent on the car, so it breaks my heart, but the cash would be handy just now so there it is.
The general condition of the car is excellent, but not perfect. It has been used as an every day car for some of it's life, so there is the odd mark on the bumper and splitter, but nothing serious or particularly obvious. For the general buyer, it would probably be classed as exceptional, but I do understand that a lot of GTR buyers expect absolutely NO marks on the paint work, so I'm trying to be as honest as possible here!
If there is enough interest, I will bring the car to TOTB this weekend to allow people to see it and judge the car for themselves. Otherwise I'm afraid for most of you it'll be a £30 easyjet flight to Edinburgh to view. I believe it is worth the journey however, as this car represents incredible value for money. It can either be :
- An incredibly safe 425bhp car with absolutely NO work
- An incredibly safe 480bhp car with minimal work
- A perfect platform for a high powered 600bhp+ car for very reasoable money.
The choice is yours !!
Any questions, please PM me and I'll send you my mobile number so we can discuss the car further. I have loads of pictures of the car which can be found on my webshots site :

The registration number isn't included in the sale at that price, but can be negotiated if you're quick (I'm just about to put it on retention).
Car has a full years MOT, 6 months tax and 4 new tyres.
The price again for anyone not paying attention is £16,500, which is only a little more than has been spent on just the extras on this car, so really is a bargain compared to the other cars sitting at 15-16k.
