Default Mazda Rx7 Twin Turbo - 1995 UK Car

1995 UK spec RX 7 twin turbo. Around 250 BHP. Excellent condition all round. Faultless performance. A really tidy and honest and pretty rare UK car, inspections welcome.

Standard UK spec except straight downpipe (WGT fitted, original section kept and included). Black leather interior, electric sunroof as well as the more usual electric windows, cruise control, aircon (new condenser), drivers airbag. 68k miles. Fuel economy in range 17-24, so better than most.

Cat1 immobiliser. Good GY Eagle F1 tyres all round. New brake discs. A full through life service history/service record/Mazda manual. Even got the UK showroom brochure. Stainless steel twin pipe back box. A really good example, for sale because my partner and I have too many vehicles between us and I'm not getting the use out of it. Offers OTR £7,750.

Contact me on 07855 299114 or mail on paulstubb@dsl.pipex.com or paul.stubbins@baesystems.com. I will be happy to send pictures as required.

Regards, Paul

Never knew they made a UK spec RX7....Must be cheaper to insure..

What are the performance differences between an import and a UK?

The UK spec (stopped in 1995, only a hundred and twenty odd about) was 237 bhp, but with the straight downpipe fitted is probably about 250 bhp. This puts it back in line with the import bhp, for the same reason. Insurance is better for the UK car (I only pay about £600) but alsp you know that mods haven't been done, have the history, manuals, better confidence it will run and run.

Any detailed spec questions, I have the shoproom brochure at home, I can dig out the answers.
Cheers, Paul

I'm reducing the asking to £7,500. If you might be interested, call on 07855 299114. This is an extreemly tidy car, all jobs done and nothing to do. Very nice to take away and enjoy....

I was interested to see if it's had a rebuild? It depends on the sort of journeys the car's been used for, but when i looked seriously at buying one they could need a rebuild from as early as 40k, but some lasted right up to 100k so i guess there's no way of really knowing??

I was also told that you can't tell just by checking the compression which is something a lot of people try to do, this only gives a tiny indication....

Still it's obvious the car's been looked after, sounds like a minter and being a UK car makes it a hell of a lot more appealing to most i'm sure!

Best of luck!

Thanks for that post - exactly correct. This car was used for daily commuting by the previous owner, now just once a week for a decent length run my myself. It runs absolutely perfectly, always starts first time etc and should give years of use before rebuild, depending on your mileage. Given that a rebuilt UK car of this age would deservedly be selling at a good £10k plus, this is a very good price for a remarkable performance motor.

Experience this car and you will want it...

Well I've just got my Rx7 back on the road today and god how I've missed it!!!!
I had forgotten how great it was to drive and how much attention it gets from onlookers.
People really need to take a chance and test drive this car, you will not be sorry
Good luck with the sale mate
