Tom,

Subaru dealers sell sets of new wheels and tyres taken from cars (with delivery mileage) which have been "Prodrived" for £500 + VAT

As a private vendor, you will need to considerably undercut the dealer price to get anyone interested.

I hope this helps you.

Thanks

Gavin

Wink

The guy is selling SPEEDLINE rims, nowhere does it say SUBARU stock rims.

It would be of use if he put what Speedline rims they were though?

I have it spaced

S600BY X

Keep the normal set (i.e. spaced normally) in the boot so you can say u were coming back from a show or sommit if the rozzers pull you over! (might help, might not!)

But please see the post at ;

Cool

I wondered what the "lovely" police will say about mine front plate...
its perfectly spaced...correct size... and all that...
But.. its stuck on my bonnet... so its not virtual....still visible...

I suppose it depends on what sort of day the copper has had before he stops me.. lol

Thumbs down

I bought a set of gold SPEEDLINE 17" wheels from a Subaru dealer for £300 + VAT (with well-worn tyres).

The posting I made was to give some frame of reference to Tom and I realised they were different types - it was not a dig of any sort.....

S600BYY - maybe you should think about why people post before criticising....

Thanks

Gavin

Unhappy

Hello all,

I was given the advert for the wheels by an aquaintance(not friend) so I don't know much about their exact history. I will try to find out. Nice reading all your comments, as a new member it will take me some time to get into the swing of things. Sorry if I inadvertently caused a minor furore !!

This is the reason that some people are wary of posting to the BBS - that someone will mis-interpret and be critical.

If I caused offence I am sorry but if you put my name in a post - you will get a response (whether I am right or acknowledging that I was wrong).

I don't want to get into a slanging match - I posted what I thought to be useful information without any criticism or sarcasm in the tone.

I hope Tom has luck in selling his wheels

Thanks

Gavin
