Forgot to add the brake pads have recetely been replaced.

Any Inspection welcome. Sytner BMW in Hughenden know the car very well and have decribed it as one of the best E36 M3's they have seen.

Going in the trader next week and I reckon it will fly away !!

Thanks Lee but no thanks.

Need the cash to get a Honda S2000. If I don't sell it I will keep it.

Been offered 10k by a trader in M3'S for it so it is worth the money for sure. £12,250.00 for it is the lowest I will go and I will chuck in a 1 years warranty.

Question

Hi mate

Did the E36 engines have the cylinder wall problems (brought about by sulphur in the fuel, I think)?

Cheers
Kav

E36 Yes. 320I, 325I and 328I Suffered from Cylinder Damage and these were replaced under warranty on those cars affected as part of a BMW recall.

New engine in most cases.

M3 was not affected by this at all. The engine in the M3 go on to 130k easy...as long as they are looked after properly

The engine problem was caused by sulphur attacking the Nikasil lining that BMW used when they moved to an alloy block for the M52 series engines, i.e. the 323/328. It also affected some of the V8s. The M3 has always used a cast iron block (S50), so there are no problems there. The earlier 320/325 E36s are also unaffected as thay had a cast iron block too (M50 engine).

Lee mate not being funny...but are you in the trade ?? Erm no.

My dad is and said that it is worth £10k trade which independent motor company have offered me to take the car. It will then go up at £13,500.

The price I am asking is resonable and considering it is advertised on here and Autotrader on line I have had a good response. Just trying to sell it as I have a new car coming.
