@RB5 Neill:
How old is the dumpvalve?
Which type? (evo DV26)
And Fitting kit....? I didn't know that Bailey provided a bolt-on fitting kit
In which shape is it?
How save is this one and how loud is the sound?(do you know which one is louder Bailey or Forge)
And how about pops and bangs, flames?
Do you have wave files or maybe a movie?
Please mail me offline with some pics: subaru@zonnet.nl

Well you answered your own question, find out what boost you can run and turn it up to that.
Simple really.
You only blow your engine if you keep winding it up. Find a boost setting get it set up and leave it.
Not a bad price either.

This is basically a Boost Controller ;
There are many different companies out there that make boost controllers. Prices range from $5 (for a home made one) to $600, they basically do the same thing. Dawes Device is a good choice, the main reasons being
1. That it is cheap
2. it was a ball and spring type instead of a bleeder valve.
to see what the kit has in it look on this link http://www.mcp1.demon.co.uk/dawes.jpg
Anyone want anymore information ask.

The Bailey Dump Valve comes with a kit to fit properly to the engine. The Dawes device is a separate selling price as far as I can see above.
A dump valve sounds like a dump valve some make different noises but essentially its more about getting rid of hot air to the atmosphere and not stalling your turbo on gear change, hence not wasting time boosting pressure again.
With regards to Pops, bangs and flames, its either your exhaust, fueling, and also a flamer kit. All which are not for sale on this thread. DO a search for "Flamer" under search if thats what you are looking for.

Both of the items for sale are under 6 months old and in brilliant condition. Yes the dump valve is quite loud.
I brought the kit seperately to the dump valve but they will be going together.

Interested in the Dawes if it works on MY97 engine (TD04 turbo). I believe the dawes are the same for all models, only the dump valve changes due to being intercooler mounted?
Anyone confirm... if so I'll have it.
