Default 05 WRX Wagon SL PPP

CAR NO LONGER FOR SALE - TRADED IN

Not sure I really want to be doing this, but here goes:

My 2 owner, 2005 (05) WRX Wagon with electric sunroof, heated leather interior and Prodrive Performance Package (consisting of Prodrive Re-map, Cat back Exhaust and Intercooler hose). Its quite rare to get a wagon with both the SL and PPP packages.

The PPP was put on by the first owner a few months after purchase from new and I have the certificate from Prodrive to prove this.

I bought this as a one owner car in Dec '08 with 41,000 miles on the clock.

Since then, I've put 20,000 miles on it to reach the current mileage of 60,600. It has always been run on Tesco 99/V Power. Its used near enough daily, so mileage will increase.

There are 5 subaru service stamps in the book to 41k and then two on the button at 50k (including cambelt) and 60k last week (plugs, gearbox/diff and engine oil) performed by our local Subaru specialist BHP Developments (WUZ on this forum).

The only modifications are a Green panel filter and HEL braided brake lines.

Road Tax is £245 on this and is in place until 31st May. Mot is due 10th September.

Mechanically the car is spot on. There are no knocks, it drives straight and true and the engine and gearbox are perfectly smooth. It has been astonishingly reliable in the time I've had it, needing only service items.

I am able to get 28mpg when taking it easy on the commute. The worst I have seen is 24 mpg, so its seems a good one in that respect.

It had 2 new Continental Conti Sport Contact 3's (£240) put on the front 2,000 miles ago due to a puncture. It has the same tyres at the rear and these have a good few thousand miles left in them.

Discs and pads were replaced about 10,000 miles ago and have not had a hard life.

Only one wheel has a slight kerbing scrape on the rim. The rest are un-marked. All have slight corrosion consistent with the age of the car.

A towbar is fitted, but I have only used this to tow a 7x4 trailer now and again.

The interior is excellent, with no wear to the drivers bolster. It has a Subaru rubber boot liner.

The car is not a show queen and has been used in a manner that results in normal stone chipping to the front and minor scratches/door dents consistent with the age and mileage. It does look very good with a polish though.

Bad Points

There is a small dent at the bottom of the passenger side front door, a bit like a golf ball strike. It was there when I bought it

Very reasonable price, TBH if you sorted the dent and bumper you could ask£6500 easy

Nice looking car. Should get your money I would have thought, as long as your prepared to bide your time a little

Good to see the 'teg didn't get kicked out of bed

Nice to have something completely different to a scooby

Thanks guys. Its only advertised here at the moment, but I might sort the rear if it doesn't go and then try the pistonheads route

This car is better to drive than the teg in everything but bone dry conditions IMO If I didnt have the '93 to look forward to this summer, it wouldn't be going anywhere.
