2013 Mini One Countryman
Chaps!
So the missus being mad on Mini's that she is bought a brand new 2013 Mini One Countryman late last year, checking the oil level (as you always do more than ever with a Mini!!) it looks like it is down to the half way point on the dipstick already (4k miles??) - does anyone know what oil they use at the factory? I'd like to top it up with the same brand / thickness etc if possible otherwise what are the recommendations considering its a new engine and the service intervals are not as frequent as I thought they might be considering its new!
Thanks
EDIT: So the recommendation appears to be 0w 30 Castrol Edge Professional, still surprised at the oil consumption but I guess its a new engine and is bedding in...

Don't forget JDM, Prodrive do a version of the Countryman Mini. The Wrc spec one
Your misses can buy direct from them for only 345K if she get bored, and can hire a engineer for 500 quid a day to check oil levels etc. :

That is a proper beast as well! 2.5 bar! and the plated diffs should stand up to some serious abuse, I'd be driving though!
I don't mind the "smaller" Mini's - but she used to have a Mini Cooper One and since I'm 6ft 4 it wasn't the easiest car to get in and out of! me driving it was just plain embarrassing!
Countryman is a lot better.
