Awsome ndeed.

Always love to see a car stripped back to basic to see how its constructed.

F40 seems more basic than I thought...relatively basic box section steel with A-frame wishbones which was once seen on many a road car (before inferior Mcpherson and multi-links wiped them out ). Nowt wrong with it - tried and tested.

That is not a restoration, that's going above and beyond. That's how it should've left the factory. Worth every penny he's spent IMO.

Remember that it 'left the factory' 25 or so years ago & things were a lot different then.It was a pretty trick car for its day & also the design was governed by various motorsport rules & regs.

I meant in terms of the finish. Its an exceptionally capable car even now. I just meant the original finish on the inside of the clam and the chassis, compared to the finish the rebuild has. Obviously time and money dictates that a level of finish comparable to this will never come straight from the factory.

Let's face it, if you can afford an F40 then you're not short of a few £££.

F40 best car ever made the car I want more than any other. Anyone else think that with proper logistics and planning same results could have been achieved without putting everything on the car and then taking them off 4 or 5 times.
It's probably just my jealousy speaking though.

You wouldn't see change from £150k, probably more.

I've known a few owners undertaking major Ferrari rebuilds, the cost can be mental on the rare stuff like the F40.
