Default VW Mk1 Golf GTi - £12500!!

I know its concours condition, but who would pay this much?

Nice to see one in such top condition as it left the factory

Gotta say, that is proper mint. Worth the price tag in my opinion

I would love to own that. If I had £12500 hanging around it would be in my garage.

Lovely car, my first one was identical to that.

The alpine white 944S2 they have looks like a fine car too. A lot of car for £7K

Even if I was rich I could think of 12,500 better ways to waste my money. But I can understand it would be someones cup of tea.

Nicer one on pistonheads for 12.5k, its proper mint full nut n bolt rebuild.

Prices will continue to rise on them too

At that price I expected really low mileage.

High mileage for the price IMO.
There was one doing the rounds at VW dealers about 15 years ago that was up for around 8 grand, but it had only done 16k if I remember rightly.

I am more shocked though at the £12995 they are asking for the 2cv!

What a joke hey, everything on their website is massively overpriced. I mean come on, 6K for a citroen AX,that really is laughable.

If you're referring to the 944 I wouldn't know (and neither would you of course), but they fetch suprisingly low money. A customer of mine bought a black S2 2 years ago and paid £4750 for it. It was pretty near mint. Uses it as his daily driver .... great car!
