got a new car s2000
Hi all just thought I would say hello aint been on for while since selling my blob.
I had a alfa gt for while biggest load of rubbish lovely car badly made.
So I took the plunge and now own a s2000 and so far I am loving it although I do find myself trying to drift all the time so tyres may not last long but very fun. Amazing engine for a n.a how it performs with no turbo and all is amazing. I did love my scooby too fatastic cars but this is definately more fun
Got the weather too

Your mate probably can't driver very well because they aren't that bad. Also, he must be a ***** if he's not happy to rev out an engine. The S2000 is as happy drop back to 1st gear as it is 2nd or 3rd (provided you blip) so there is no excuse to be out of the power band at any speed. In fact, it's a challenge getting your gear selection and changes right.
I still miss mines, especially in this weather!

They are nice cars, i would probably get one at some point as a toy, lovely machinery and drive spot on if you dive them properly as saxo boy says.
Just drop down a few gears for overtake etc and your on the power band, once you get used to driving a vtec engine they are good fun.

Yep echo the sentiments above, my best mate has one and lets me drive it like I stole it just so he can see what it can do, I absolutely love it and I recon i'll buy it off him next year, he just pootles around in it because he's a poser gives it very occasional blasts on the motorway when his mrs is not with him which is like twice a year, must have about 130 on the clock and sweet as a nut.

Best car I ever owned. Superb build, great looks, hatchback servicing costs, that engine, great gearbox, uber reliable and most of all a heck of a lot of fun without going to silly speeds! Would have another no question!
Any chance of some pics?

I had a one years ago, hated it at first.. That was until I realised it was worn tyre inner edges and a poor geometry setup.
Once I'd sorted that, it was an epic car! Just needed more grunt for me (and no I didn't have a problem smashing it everywhere!)
Wonder if the want above about "mate's one being lethal" is down to same issue as mine? I took mine on the motorway the day I got it and it was scarey. It felt like it was gonna go into a slide twitching about in tram lines.

Yeah the alignment has big implications on these from what I can tell. Luckily mine is a 2004 model which means it has the revised suspension and geometry settings, and the previous owner had the alignment done at Honda earlier in the year.
As such it was great on the drive home, no issues like that
