Focus RS Mk 2 vs Sti
Has any one had any experience against a focus rs. Was wondering how it would turn out as the rs has more torque than my standard hatch?

dpending on weather conditions, dryish conditionsan mp350 FRS/ RS500 will have no problems keeping up/ possibly pulling away from an impreza cosworth, wet and impreza will be all over it... but imo the focus has something about it the scoobies dont, just some kinda soul!

not really a ford fanboy though, i like the RS's, but thats cause i have an interest in ncie cars.... Its probably just becase they arent as common as the scoob due to limitedish build numbers....

front wheel drive..............
that is all.
but as it happens I quite like the rs focus models, but soul is something they don't have. I had a look around the new one on Saturday at castle coombe. looks nice but its lacking in nice touches. the brakes for instance look too small and are generic ford items and not branded or even painted.

And different story for the mk1, people only slated that for its interior (whcih i personally quite like!) and its torque steer, which is only a problem for mongs....
Depends if the focus is modded, if it is and they havnt changed the plenum that might go bang and ruin everyones fun haha

I overtook a rs focus racing in Germany of course, 330hp fail wagon, focus had a bit of grunt and then the turbo tails off at top end and mine was still pulling so I went past him, simple. Vf34 as people know these keep pulling on top end, not sure how the vf35 would compare

As said frs had some grunt low down,(i was still keeping up) but then he tailed off at top end where I had the more grunt at top end.
The ones you were Racing we're probably standard 225-265 etc

myself and stugsey had a bit of a blow with an rs focus on our way to silverstone last year the blobeye and jdm left it that had some motune goodies but not enough to keep up with us
1. blobeye aps sr40 turbo,aps725 fmic push about 360/370
2. jdm hawkeye miltek/remap 350ish
if the focus rs had been a 4x4 then i think it might of been a bit different i wouldnt under estimate a focus RS

They are so covered in tat that they look like a Halfords joke. And they may be 300bhp but their 0-100 time is pretty poor.
Even my soot chucking hearse is quicker (13.5ish vs 14.2).
Add FWD to the mix and you have a car that's useful only on perfectly smooth, dry roads - try finding them in the UK...

My mk1 used to be a bit torque steer.....ish
My mk2 grips aswel as all my subaru's have on the roads , grips as good as my old evo's did........not yet tracked it though so will re comment in the summer
As for covered in tat
There's no ironing board spoiler on mine ....and don't most cars have a body kit fitted nowadays
It's bollox info that you type that makes everyone assume a driveshaft will snap pulling off the drive

They are both pritty much the same car, and yes both would, once youve taken into account the added weight of the 4WD system and then transmission losses on the scoob... and the FRS has a higher top speed too!
thats what i mean, theres just something about the RS that you cant put your thumb on which the scoob doesnt have...
