Smile BMW 840ci Sport what's it worth.

Hi folks, i have been offered a 99 T plate 840ci sport with 85k miles on the clock.With FSH and just had a full service inspection at the BMW main agents.So anyone hazard a guess as to what it's worth.

are they a v10 or summat? always wanted one of them

No not a V10, it's a 4.4 v8 with 286bhp.

For that price, you can have our '07 CLK 500 with a 7 speed auto and 388 bhp!

Maybe you're thinking of the 850? That has a 5.0L V12.

That was a lot of power back in those days

Always loved the look of these but too expensive to own, not talking about the initial outlay, more the servicing etc.

Yeah the good ones hold the value very well! A lot of things to watch out for though!
