Just having breakfast with my car dealing mate as it happens. He reckons £23K -£23.5K as a trade in, but not against a £25K car....if that is what your post meant.

He also says if you go with Webuyanycar they will try and chip you down on price when they come to look at the car, but that's how they make their money! Neither of us are sure exactly how it works, but if you have to pay anything to get them to come and look at it I would forget it.

Pretty much what i meant. Looking to chop it in and put in 2k max as I don't want finance.

Webuy offers a free no obligation valuation as far as I'm aware. I might go through the motions just to see what they offer, they have a garage/office fairly close to me so nothing to lose I guess.

Yeah that's what he said, if you can get WeBuy to your door without it costing you anything then give them a go. Like he said you can always say No!

As for trading in against a £25K car he just said they may try and beat you down on the price of yours to eek a bit more of a margin for them as the cars are so close price wise .... whereas if you were looking at a £30K car you would probably get the full £23.5K.

As he said it all comes down to price to change and as long as you are happy with that then all good!

Have you thought of trying to sell the RR Sport privately as they are a car that tends to buck the trend a bit and people do like them? Only costs a tenner to stick it on Pistonheads these days I think.

I haven't got time for tyre kickers also the hassle of taking payment.
Generally I part ex for ease, in with one car then out with another.
