Thinking of buying my wife a 2008 Citroen C4, cant decide between a 1,4L and a 1.6L?

Fuel economy is main requirement, car will be used for school runs mainly..

Her current Audi A4 1.8T 2001 does near 20mpg..

Any thoughts on which Citroen i should go for..?
